ChemE Tools
This space is dedicated to developing a suite of practical utilities aimed at tackling common challenges encountered in Chemical Engineering.
Building Practical Solutions for Chemical Engineers
Initially inspired by the complexities of my Plant Design course at Universitas Indonesia, the ambition is to build and share tools that can assist both students in their academic journey and professionals in their practice.
While many of these tools are currently in conceptual or early development stages, the goal is to create resources that are both insightful and genuinely useful for the ChemE community.
Explorations & Future Developments
Transportation Cost Estimator
A planned tool to assist in estimating the diverse transportation costs associated with materials, products, and equipment, crucial for comprehensive plant design projects and economic evaluations.
Equipment Design Calculators
Exploring the development of calculators for the preliminary design and sizing of key chemical engineering equipment, including reactors, separation vessels, centrifuges, CSTRs, and many more.
Integrated Process Simulation Aids
Investigating concepts for tools to enhance process simulation workflows. One ambitious idea is to facilitate data exchange between distinct simulation stages, for example, linking the output of one FlexPDE reactor model as an input to another. This is a long-term technical exploration.
More Tools & Your Input Welcome!
This collection of ChemE Tools will evolve as new challenges are explored and solutions are developed. Have a suggestion for a tool that would be invaluable for your studies or work in chemical engineering?
